[glow=yellow,2,300]Powers:[/glow] Undoubtedly the strongest member of the Black Moon Family, Prince Diamond displayed a variety of powers, including the ability to teleport both himself and others, to levitate and hover in mid-air and cause others to do the same, generate black, hurricane-like funnels of Dark Power to bewilder and confuse his opponents, project images of himself over a distance in order to communicate with others, and fire enormous, continuous blasts of blue and white energy from his open hands. One of Prince Diamond's greatest powers, however, was that of exposing individuals to the hypnotic third eye which he could cause to form from the black, inverted crescent moon symbol on his forehead. With it, he could mesmerize and stun people in order to render them helpless or bend them to his will, though his mental hold would be broken if he was distracted or had his concentration broken.

He demands respect and obedience from others, but places much faith in his brother Sapphire. Sapphire's death hurts him deeply and nearly brings him to tears. Before he dies, the Prince reveals that all he ever wanted was a chance for his people to live on a beautiful planet. In the end, Prince Diamond sees the error of his ways and asks for forgiveness from Sailor Moon.

He has vowed revenge on the people of Earth and the King and Queen of Crystal Tokyo for banishing them from the planet. After growing up on a lifeless, dark, and ugly world, he now wants his people to live on the Earth after humanity is destroyed. Prince Diamond is obsessed with Neo-Queen Serenity's beauty and when he sees Sailor Moon's eyes, he knows that they are the same person. He kidnaps Sailor Moon and tries to force her to become his Queen, but fortunately Tuxedo Mask comes to Sailor Moon's rescue.
Prince Diamond tells Sailor Moon that he intends to combine the Dark Crystal with the Imperium Silver Crystal, giving him mastery over all space and time. Prince Diamond frequently seeks council from Wiseman and does not see that Wiseman is merely using him. He realizes too late that Sapphire's warnings were true and dies while protecting Sailor Moon from Wiseman's attack.
